Precoding in the Digital Wireless Local Loope results show that flexible precoding outperforms a fractionally spaced equaliser over quasi static and slowly varying continuous small cell mobile channels at high transmission bit rates. Hence the quality of service or capacity of the wireless local loop can be maximised.

This functional can exhibit only a set of equivalent global minima, which correspond to points of perfect equalization for different equalizer delays and signs of the output signal. A joint robust carrier-phase recovery algorithm is also presented. The convergence behavior of the algorithm is illustrated by simulations.

Introduction to Continuous Time first at the problem of signle-tone interference, and then generalize it to the case of narrowband Gaussian interference. Comparisons are made to the optimum receiver, and to a receiver that utilize a notch-filter to reject the interference. The EM algorithm is seen to perform esentially optimally, even for large interference levels.
