Optical Springs,cal spring, the optical spring can modify the dynamics of the optomechanical system. As a result, the optical spring can be a useful tool in optomechanical experiments and plays a vital role in the experiments described throughout the rest of this thesis.

Zusammenfassung der Ergebnisse der Arbeitand are in excellent agreement with theoretical predictions. In addition, we show that the optical spring is able to keep the interferometer stable and locked without the use of external feedback. This work is adapted from Cripe et al.
