Flaw Detection in Concrete Using the Impact-Echo Methodples of the results of analytical and experimental studies. A procedure called spectral peak plotting is described which simplifies interpretation of data from scans across a structure. By using this procedure a profile view of the interior of the test object can be constructed.

A Dynamic Method for the Safety Inspection of Large Prestressed Bridgesjects are given. The latest investigations were started in Oct. 1988 on five bridges on Brenner motor-ways. The tests were finished in April 1989, analysis of measurements is still in process. More detailed results will be given in forthcoming papers.

Performance evaluation of the prototype has been conducted on reinforced concrete slabs with practical configurations and on a bridge beam. The performance has been compared with that of magnetic metal detectors which are available on the market.
