Ultimate Fate of Black and White Holeshe book certainly is not a complete theory and requires modifications because of quantum effects. Quantum effects become dominant at Planck scales, and quantum gravity is required there. In this section we comment on some of the problems of black hole physics that require quantum gravity for their solutions.
