Sustainable Utilization of Food Industry Waste and by-Products for the Production of Prebiotic Isomg/L isomaltose (DP2), 1.89?±?0.19?g/L maltotriose (DP3), 32.05?±?2.46?g/L panose (DP3), 2.94?±?0.06?g/L isomaltotriose (DP3), 9.81?±?0.22?g/L tetrasaccharides (DP4), 8.78?±?0.19?g/L pentasaccharides (DP5) and other higher oligosaccharides. The yields of IMO for the two processes were 0.34?kg of IMO/kg of BR and 0.1?kg of IMO/L of PPW respectively.

The selected components were optimized using Response Surface Methodology (RSM). At the optimum condition, a maximum cellulase production of 11.6?IU/mL was obtained.

These results show that RSM is an efficient methodology for rapid optimization of influencing parameters and development of polynomial equation for modelling the pre-treatment process.
