Longwave and Total Radiation,ive in an environment generally dominated by radiation. Organisms in terrestrial habitats receive some radiation at all times. Organisms living in aquatic habitats may receive radiation only part of the time since liquid water transmits some sunlight, relatively little ultraviolet, and no infrared.
