Treatment and Long-Term Prognosisory, and the cerebrospinal fluid theory. The results of our numerical simulations together with pathological findings show that no one theory can explain the mechanics of the brain during the different types of accidents. We therefore highlight the accident scenarios under which each theory presents a consistent explanation of brain mechanics.

Physically Based Finite Element Model of the Face particular, parametric studies were carried out in order to quantify the influence of constitutive model parameters of muscles. The model described in this paper might be used for simulation of plastic and reconstructive surgery and for investigation of the physiology and pathology of face deformation.

Deforming a High-Resolution Mesh in Real-Time by Mapping onto a Low-Resolution Physical Modelnt, mapping 54,000 vertices in 8.5 ms on the CPU and in 0.88 ms on the GPU. Consequently, the density of the high-resolution visual mesh is limited only by the detail of the CT data from which the mesh was generated.

Land-Use Modelling in Planning Practice with different stiffnesses. This work leads to an efficient implementation of St Venant-Kirchhoff materials that can cope with compressible strains. It also provides expressions to compute spring stiffnesses on triangular and tetrahedral meshes.
