Summary, devoted to elucidating long-term stability of gold catalysts and in case of deactivation, development of efficient catalyst regeneration methods. Due to a synergetic effect, bimetallic gold catalysts in some cases have higher activity. Thus, addition of such metals, as copper could increase the process profitability.
