https://doi.org/10.1007/978-3-642-90719-7iew is focused on recently discovered biomarkers with diagnostic, prognostic, histologic, and response prediction capacities. Yet none of the described biomarkers could be used instead of biopsy. A long road is ahead to reach the optimal biomarker profile with bedside utility.
