Learning in Artificial and Biological Neural Networks,The dominant biological approach to the problem of learning was discussed in Section 1.2. We saw that, in neurobiology, emphasis is put on the experimental proof of long-term changes in neural network parameters, mainly parameters of synaptic transmission. In neurocomputing, the approach is completely different.
