Biomechanical and Physiological Aspects of Arterial Vasomotion,lations in muscular tone, in the absence of variations in external stimuli, are also observed. These are usually manifested by low-frequency oscillations in the arterial diameter which, by analogy to small resistance arteries and arterioles, can be termed arterial vasomotion.
