Tenebrionidae of the Pityusic Islands (Coleoptera: Heteromera)in the Balearic Archipelago, it is useful to present an up-to-date survey of data of the confirmed species and their respective habits and geographic distribution areas. A few brief considerations will serve by way of introduction (and then as conclusion) to the description presented below.

When checking the literature on this special subject, there was a gap in West-Mediterranean fungal floras as far as the region of the Pityusic Islands is concerned. So this contribution will be an attempt to fill this hiatus.
