https://doi.org/10.1007/978-3-662-08184-6on or natural sedimentation is called solid digestate, while the liquid part is called liquid digestate. Digestate is rich in nutrients and bioactive substances required for plant growth, so digestate can be used as fertilizer.

In other words, the buffer devices store the surplus biogas produced at the moment to cover large consumptions of biogas at some other time in future.?Biogas storage devices include hydraulic gas storage chambers, low-pressure water-sealed gasholders, and low-pressure waterless gasholders.
