Detection of Very Early Atherosclerosis by Duplex SonographyA comparable correlation was found between the width of the hypoechoic space and the severity of atherosclerotic changes..The data demonstrate that duplex sonography is a useful non-invasive approach for detection of very early atherosclerotic changes in arterial vessel walls before plaques can be identified.
