Temperature Dependence of Slow Thermal Reactions during the Bleaching of Rhodopsin in the Frog Retinsors, on the other hand, decay slowly. The kinetics of these slow reactions have recently been studied in the frog retina (1) where two parallel pathways for the decay of MII were demonstrated. Rate constants at 21.C were determined for these two reactions, for the decay of metarhodopsin III (MIII) and for the reduction of all-trans-retinal.
