Iterative 3D CNN Based Segmentation of Vascular Trees in Liver CT, to state of the art methods, our new model generates a more accurate segmentation, resulting in an improvement of the Dice score of 7 % and a reduction of the Hausdorff distance of approximately 20 %.

https://doi.org/10.1007/978-981-19-9661-0reservation is applied to different levels of the network and shown to improve the segmentation. Promising results are achieved with an average Dice score of 0.809 and an average rand index of 0.871 for the best performing network version.
