We then go on to outline a largely separate literature which has informed our own approach and introduce how it has been developed in the analysis of change in the UK financial services sector.

Introduction: A Matter of Life and Death,f insights into the process of change that has occurred over the last 20 years in UK retail financial services. As we have emphasized, there are no clear cut-off points to change and the processes which we have described are ongoing with the combination of existing and newly-emerging conditions, contradictions and discourses.
