A New Matrix Addition Rule for Combining Linear Belief FunctionsLinear models, obtained from independent sources, may be combined via Dempster’s rule as linear belief functions. When they are represented as matrices, the combination is reduced to the addition of the matrices in fully swept forms. This paper improves this combination rule by further reducing unnecessary sweeping operations.
