Takeshi Ogasawara,Sadayoshi Tohnguages, to the best of my knowledge, I am not aware of any initiative out there, in Python or Ruby or any other “competing” language, that provides a standard, free, open source, and declarative game programming engine besides Ring.

Solid Mechanics and Its Applicationsmenclature of what is possible to say in the language and the range of what is possible to do through its features. Unfortunately, data types are not deeply addressed in the majority of programming books and documentation. Decidedly, that won’t be the case of this Ring book.
