影響因子This workshop was organized and presented by an international group of scholars interested in the advancement of automating instructional design. Although the principal leader for this effort was myself, each of the committee members devoted equally in time and effort in the total preparation and conducting of the workshop. Members of the organizing committee included Dr. Klaus Breuer from disce and the University ofPaderbom (Germany), Dr. Begofia Gros from the University of Barcelona, and Dr. Daniel Muraida and Dr. Michael Spector from the Armstrong Laboratory (USA). Dr. Gros participated as the co-director of the workshop and was directly responsible for the preparation and operation of the workshop in Sitges, Spain. The workshop was held in Sitges, a short distance from Barcelona, March 23-27, 1992. Because of preparations at that time for the 1992 summer Olympic Games in Barcelona, the workshop was moved to a more convenient location. The theme of the workshop included three main topics: planning, production, and implementation. Dr. Peter Goodyear, from the Lancaster University (England), presented the invited keynote address. Automating the Planning and Construction of Programming Assignments for Teaching Introductory Comput (c) questions on the working and the structure of the program. The planning and construction of the completion assignments is based on a model in terms of programming plans, student profile, and problem database.

Issues Concerning the Development and Application of Educational Softwaretional software are: (a) lack of a generalized consensus about the best teaching methods and the best learning strategies; (b) persistent lack of investment in educational resources and limited use of the existing ones; (c) institutional inertia to change.

ISD EXPERT: An Automated Approach to Instructional DesignUnfortunately, these advancements have increased the complexity of employing instructional design, making instructional development both costly and time consuming. Proposed is a computer-based ISD system that will assist both competent and inexperienced instructional developers in applying advanced instructional design.

Integrating Instructional Science, Learning Theory, and Technology that should occur involves the traditional multi-phase instructional system development model, learning theory, and the variety of technologies available. Each of these areas interacts with the other, and overlooking the interactions is likely to result in suboptimal learning systems.
