Toward Real-Time Federated Evolutionary Neural Architecture Search, well suited for distributed real-time systems, due to high computational and communication costs. This chapter provides a brief introduction to methods for reducing computational cost in NAS, followed by a presentation of two evolutionary frameworks we recently developed for real-time federated NAS.

A General Model for Automated Algorithm Design,configuration, selection and composition. Based on the decision space under consideration, the algorithm design itself is defined as an optimisation problem. Relevant literature is briefly reviewed, motivating a new line of exciting and challenging directions on the emerging research of automated algorithm design.
