Implementation Details,tion is a full custom BiCMOS integrated circuit. This implementation was discussed in detail.The integrated circuit features 1.8 GHz output center frequency and has the VCO, Σ-≈ synthesizer and automatic calibration circuit on the same die.

Ljapunov-Funktionen und Stabilit?tmodulator is relatively power hungry. The open loop modulator consumes less power than the quadrature modulator but has some performance limitations. The ∑—Δmodulated synthesizer offers high performance and low power but some type of calibration circuit is required.

Ljapunov-Funktionen und Stabilit?tThis chapter has provided a motivation for the use of constant envelope modulation. Constant envelope modulation allows the use of more power efficient RF power amplifiers. A common type of constant envelope modulation, GFSK/GMSK, has been discussed in detail.

The result of this chapter is that the residual phase error should be less than approximately 10°. to achieve reasonable bit error probability performance.
