RPA in nuclei and metal clustersWe discuss and compare the gross features of resonance excitations in nuclei and metal clusters. We point out the phenomenon of “jellium scaling” which means that different materials for metal clusters all give similar resonance spectra and we discuss the various effects which determine the exact position of the resonance.

Clustering states in the 62Ni(58Ni,58Ni)62Ni reactionExcitation function and angular distributions of the .Ni(.Ni,.Ni).Ni elastic scattering have been measured at incident .Ni energies from 220.0 to 230.0 MeV in steps of 0.5 MeV. Evidence of two structures was found in the excitation function; a statistical analysis suggests a possible nuclear cluster quasi-molecular nature for these structures.

Führungskonzepte für die Digitalisierung .Sn at a variety of excitation energies (.* = 50–90 MeV) is presented. A comparison of the data with model predictions at the equilibrium deformation and with thermal fluctuations in the adiabatic limit is discussed. In general, the adiabatic calculations give a fair account of the data exception made for Sn at very high spins.
