Applications in Air Pollution Modeling,s 5 and 6 dealt specifically with diffusion in the convective boundary layer and the stable boundary layer, respectively. Clearly they have pre-empted much of what I might say, and I will only briefly cover these areas for the sake of completeness.

Similarity Relations, Scaling Laws and Spectral Dynamics, that the data be presented in non-dimensional form. Non-dimensional plots are Independent of the system of units used, they facilitate order-of-magnitude estimates and comparisons with data obtained elsewhere, and they often contribute to the discovery of simple functional relationships.

Equations and Concepts,of the planetary boundary layer is a consequence of the interactions between the atmosphere and its underlying surface. The surface functions as a source or sink of energy and momentum to the atmosphere. The atmosphere provides the large scale environment which may modify the surface input over a wide range of values.
