Traffic Prediction for VRP in Intelligent Transportation Systems, The best performing model is then tested with a VRP algorithm for ride-sharing taxi. Our results suggest that artificial neural networks can reduce the wait times significantly compared to simple statistical estimation, specifically our test shows a reduction by 18%.
