New Water Soluble Phosphines for Organometallic Chemistry and Catalysis in the Aqueous Phase, that separated slowly. While TPPMS has definite hydrophobic and hydrophilic regions it does not have the general shape of micelle forming surfactants. Specifically it is more disk shaped than rod-like.

Der Mensch als omnivorer Biophagelso exert a positive influence on regioselectivity and activity [6]. Solubility of transition metal complexes in aqueous media is usually accomplished by the attachment of charged or polar substituents (e.g. -SO.H, -COOH, -OH, -NH.) to phosphines [1a]. Electrostatic forces are also important in solubilizing highly charged complex ions in water.
