We demonstrate the stability of fingerprints of cell lines during repeated sub culture, mycoplasma infection (with two species) and high level antibiotic treatment. This data contributes to the validation of DNA fingerprinting in cell technology and promotes its use for routine quality control of cell stocks of diverse species of origin.

https://doi.org/10.1007/978-3-322-84846-8f hepatocyte/spheroid immobilized in the PUF packed-bed were higher than those of usual hepatocyte/monolayer culture in petri dish, and these activities were maintained for 26 days. These results indicated that the PUF/spheroid packed-bed culture system provided a promising prototype of hybrid type artificial liver support system.

Klaus Hengsbach,Reinhard Langmannhollow fiber bioreactors. Another important design issue is the maintenance of oxygen supply as these reactors are scaled-up for commercial production. Improved design and operating strategies are being developed to both decrease polarization of cell growth and increase hollow fiber bioreactor productivities.
