Developments in the Criminal Law of the Republic of Indonesia before the Transfer of Sovereignty,active effect that all regulations already in force on August 17, 1945 were to be maintained valid if not in conflict with the Constitution of the Republic and as long as they were not replaced by new provisions. So there was a continuation of the legal order of the Japanese occupant.
