Defects in Amorphous SemiconductorsThe concept of point defects in noncrystalline solids is not an easy one to grasp for anyone unfamiliar with the subject. One’s first impression might be that the structure of a glass or an amorphous thin film is totally defective!

Die Konstruktion von Feindbildern problem of particular importance for understanding the stability of colloids, especially sols. Sols comprise solid particles dispersed through a liquid medium. Although the particles are large compared with the liquid molecules, they are still microscopic and their surfaces play an important part in their behavior.
