Multicast Rekeying: Performance Evaluation,The British Enlightenment threatened to end allegory. Enlightenment writers put pressure on the allegory, preferring more transparent literary forms. But this pressure had a surprising effect. It encouraged writers to experiment with allegory rather than letting it die.
