https://doi.org/10.1007/978-3-642-49774-2ine time cost for file fetch sequence. Based on the model established, we propose a heuristic and greedy (HG) algorithm at the end. According to the simulation results, we can conclude that HG algorithm can reduce overall file fetch time roughly by 50?% in the best cases compared to the time cost of traditional approaches.

FT-Offload: A Scalable Fault-Tolerance Programing Model on MIC Clusterhe framework is demonstrated via numerical analysis and by porting both benchmarks and real-world applications to large-scale CPU-MIC nodes on the Tianhe-2 supercomputer. Our experimental results show that the current solution, which involves checkpoints, can efficiently strength the long running and reduce checkpointing overhead.
