Combining Normal Communication with Ontology Alignmentlogies by constructing a shared communication vocabulary. Because ontology alignment is not a goal in itself, the agents refrain from it unless they believe it to be inevitable. We discuss three protocols that all implement lazy ontology alignment, although they give rise to different communication vocabularies.
