Numerical Computations of Isolated and Installed Engine Jet Flowsuse of the DLR TAU-Code to investigate the complex aerodynamics of jet-flap interactions was devised which also ensures the usability of the RANS (Reynolds Averaged Navier–Stokes) results in a subsequent aeroacoustic analysis.

Further Development of CAA Simulation for Isolated and Installed Nozzle Configurationsnsideration of both noise generation mechanisms simultaneously. Thus, a vorticity based ‘Eddy Relaxation’ source model has been recently proposed as further development of this methodology, which is expected to capture the installation effect.
