Status and Current Directions in New Materials Research in High-Tc Superconductivity summarize briefly the known compounds, and a simple way of looking at them. I also describe my views on the current issues of phase separation and “unidentified superconducting objects”, and end with a plea for better interdisciplinary interactions.
