Rheology and Mechanics of the Cytoskeletonrstanding their complexity in the context of cell wall architecture and cell wall properties remains a major challenge. This chapter reviews recent work, using monoclonal antibodies to oligosaccharide domains of homogalacturonan and rhamnogalacturonan-I, that has provided insight into the cell biology of these components of the pectic network.
