The purpose was to provide an updateon the latest theories, observations, and simulations ofspace-astrophysical plasma phenomena. .The topics covered included space plasma mechanisms for particleacceleration, nonthermal emission in cosmic plasma,magnetohydrodynamic instabilities in solar, interstellar, and othercosmic objects, magnetic field line reconnection and merging, thenonlinear and often chaotic structure of astrophysical plasmas, andthe advances in high performance supercomputing resources to replicatethe observed phenomena.
