https://doi.org/10.1007/978-3-642-96614-9 are made with comprehensive field data obtained at the UMIST Great Dun Fell site. Predicted conversion rates for sulphur dioxide to sulphate are found to be in good agreement with field measurements. The concentration of sulphate in collected rainwater is also found to be consistent with that observed.

https://doi.org/10.1007/978-3-642-61640-2tion oxidation of SO. by ozone and hydrogen peroxide and dynamical capture of sulphate particles by hydrometeors contribute differently to wet sulphate deposition. This reflects the complexity of the non-linear interactions between winds, microphysics and physicochemistry.
