This chapter analyses how these texts were diffused and adapted, and how they often conveyed other information on the Holy Land as well.

Conclusions: Loss, Trauma, Recovery, how the Friars emphasized to Western Christians that their presence maintained a vital connection with the Holy Land and that the connection between Latin Europe and this region was key to the construction of its own identity between the fourteenth and sixteenth centuries.
