Design and Performance Analysis Of Algorithms for Channel Allocation in Cellular Networksing probability in the network as a whole, and the maximum blocking probability in any particular cell of the network (“hot-spot” in the network). We designed three specific channel allocation policies, based on three different objective functions. Compared with two other benchmark policies, our approach shows significant improvement.

Multiuser Detection and Diversity Combining for Wireless CDMA Systemsing and differentially coherent reception with equal-gain combining are analyzed. The results demonstrate significant performance improvement over the conventional RAKE techniques. In the case of limited receiver complexity antenna diversity is shown to be effective in reducing residual multiple-access interference.

An Asynchronous Distributed Algorithm for Power Control in Cellular Radio Systemsnot below a prefixed target. The condition for the existence and uniqueness of such a power distribution is obtained. Conditions are obtained for the asynchronous adaptation to converge to the optimal solution at a geometric rate. These conditions are surprisingly not burdensome.
