On the Use of Signal-to-Noise Ratio Estimation for Establishing Hidden Markov Modelsrated. A dynamic channel model is first found by monitoring the receiver input signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). Each channel state is then embedded with a binary error Fritchman model From the Markov model, system performance parameters, such as the bit-error-rate (BER), can be determined directly.
