Monitoring Respiratory Sounds: Compressed Sensing Reconstruction via OMP on Android Smartphoneion and execution speed are investigated using synthetic signals. We demonstrate applicability of the technique in real-time reconstruction of at least 10 components of compressible DCT spectrum of respiratory sounds containing asthmatic wheezing, acquired at 4x lower sampling rate.

Switching from Traditional Medical Applications to Mobile Devices: Cardiac and Cochlear Implantseasibility of our research work, we report several experiments and evaluations attempting to guarantee the safety of operations on adjusting cochlear implants and supporting the monitoring of patients with cardiac implants. This work is carried out as part of an academic and industrial research project.

Performance of Miniature Implantable Antennas for Medical Telemetry at 402, 433, 868 and 915 MHzperformance at higher frequencies because of the increased copper surface area. Implantation of a specific antenna inside different parts of the human body is shown to insignificantly affect its performance.

Requirements are based on the circumstances of the Republic of Cameroon. In addition we discuss the country-level benefits that may appear after deployment of such a system.
