On-Demand Multicast Streaming Using Collaborative Prefix Cachingd using a highly detailed network simulation that models real-world network (IPv6) and streaming (RTSP) protocols and the Pastry overlay network. An Evaluation Criterion for Adaptive Neighbor Selection in Heterogeneous Peer-to-Peer Networkss among peers. In this paper we propose a simple but effective strategy for the evaluation of neighbors, taking into account their capabilities, to support the dynamic selection of resource providers. We apply the formal framework to P2P Internet Live Streaming, simulating three realistic scenarios and discussing the results.

COOCHING: Cooperative Prefetching Strategy for P2P Video-on-Demand Systemies, but also important insights on the design of P2P VoD system. On the basis of this analysis, we finally proposed a cooperative prefetching strategy namely “COOCHING”.In this strategy, the segments requested in VCR interactivities are prefetched into session beforehand using the information collected through gossips.
