Using Radar in Hydrometeorology,is to utilise effectively these new data. Nevertheless, for some time, a few operational hydrologists have made use of radar data qualitatively to define the start and cessation of rainfall events and there have been some attempts to demonstrate the potential and difficulty of using radar data as input to isolated event and similar lumped models.
