描述Recent advances in wave propagation in random media arecertainly consequences of new approaches to fundamental issues, aswell as of a strong interest in potential applications. A collectiveeffort has been made to present in this book the state of the art infundamental concepts, as well as in biomedical imaging techniques..As an example, the recent introduction of wave chaos, and morespecifically random matrix theory - an old tool from nuclearphysics - to the study of multiple scattering, has pointed theway to a deeper understanding of wave coherence in complex media. Atthe same time, efficient new approaches for retrieving informationfrom random media promise to allow wave imaging of small tumors inopaque tissues. .Review chapters are written by experts in the field, with the aim ofmaking the book accessible to the widest possible scientific audience:graduate students and research scientists in theoretical and appliedphysics, optics, acoustics, and biomedical physics.

Simultaneous Optical Coherence and Two-Photon Fluorescence MicroscopyWe demonstrate simultaneous non-fluorescence and fluorescence imaging with sub-micron resolution in tissues by combining optical coherence tomography (OCT) and two-photon-excited fluorescence (TPEF) microscopy.

The Semiclassical Approach for Chaotic Systems possible. I also show how the presence of single or multiple scattering by a small object may induce a chaotic-like behaviour and how to calculate the quantum properties using a semiclassical approach.
