Water Saving Techniques for Crop Production in Rainfed Areas of Turkeyh the proper crop and soil management techniques based on the basic and applied research, fallow areas were reduced from 8.9 million hectares down to 5.2 million hectares; wheat yield was almost doubled and some legumes were introduced into rotation with wheat instead of fallow.
