Skeletal Distribution of Stable Strontium and its Incorporation into Bone Mineral ,Twenty-one-day-old mice were maintained on a high strontium (Sr) diet up to 16 months. The femurs were analysed for the incorporation of stable strontium into the bone tissue and its effects on bone mineral substance, by means of X-ray emission, absorption, and diffraction, and of infra-red (IR) spectrophotometry.
