Turgor Pressure Regulation: Modulation of Active Potassium Transport by Hydrostatic Pressure Gradien An increase in the turgor pressure is sensed by the cell and this leads to a reduction of K. transport. An important part of the feed back loop is the pressure sensitive transducer, which links the turgor pressure (a physical parameter) to the K. pump (a biochemical process). In this investigation we further studied the pressure transducer.
