3D Ultrasound-CT Registration in Orthopaedic Trauma Using GMM Registration with Optimized Particle S automating the parameter selection in the bone surface extraction step. For validation, we present extensive quantitative tests on phantom and clinical data obtained by scanning patients with pelvic ring fractures in the operating room. We show an 89% average improvement in target registration error over the recent GMM registration based method.

Automatic Categorization of Anatomical Landmark-Local Appearances Based on Diffeomorphic Demons and well as synthesized intermediate images calculated from all subject-pairs in the cluster, are used to train the corresponding subgroup detector. All of these trained detectors compose a detector ensemble to detect the target landmark. Evaluation with clinical CT datasets showed great improvement in the detection performance.

A Novel Approach for Global Lung Registration Using 3D Markov-Gibbs Appearance Modelived automatically from the prototype. An object is aligned by an affine transformation maximizing the similarity by using an automatic initialization followed by a gradient search. Experiments confirm that our approach aligns complex objects better than popular conventional algorithms.

Analytic Regularization of Uniform Cubic B-spline Deformation Fieldsputing the bending energy of a three-dimensional B-spline deformation field as a quadratic matrix operation on the spline coefficient values.
