Introduction,and an overview of the state of the art of power stabilization schemes for gravitational wave detectors is presented. In this overview, the limitations of current schemes are discussed and, lastly, the idea of the alternative scheme proposed in this thesis is introduced.

A measurement of the optomechanical response of the micro-oscillator was also performed.
