Light Scattering Experiments during the Freezing and Melting Transitioniscussion: 1.) Light is scattered by continuous fluctuations in a mesophase layer; 2.) Light is scatterd by gas bubbles in front of the growing crystal. In this paper it is shown that the bubbles model is not compatible with the experiment. The model with continuous fluctuations is compatible with the experimental results.
